Ca Phe VN  - literally coffee Vietnam - is a pioneer of Vietnamese coffee. The first company to produce, import and market it's own coffee in UK, putting Vietnamese cafe culture on the map.Established in 2005 and still owned by Rob Atthill,( wine industry, hospitality veteran and food adventurer) who was inspired by the late Anthony Bourdain's enthusiasm about Vietnam and it''s food and coffee. After exhaustive research about Vietnamese coffee, and much caphe ( den ) da consumed Ca Phe VN began importing to the UK.Initially it was difficult to market and sell a completely unknown product to a society brought up on Nescafe and the orthodoxies of Starbucks and the 'latte' culture it spawned. There was also a resistance to Vietnamese coffee in the coffee trade, a byproduct of trade wars involving Brazil. In order to market the coffee Ca Phe VN started market trading - including the Hay on Wye during the literature festival, Abergavenny Food Festival, Exmouth Market, Covent Garden, Brick Lane and many others until finding it's home at Broadway Market Hackney where it established the SAIGON STREET CAFE for 14 years until 2020 and the Covid outbreak. In the early days at Broadway Market, the epicentre of hip London , Ca Phe VN soon became a huge hit and the darling of TIME OUT, listed/recommended many times in a year, and oversaw the introduction of Banh Mi - Vietnamese Baguettes and Vietnamese street food into the UK, which became a huge trend.Ca Phe VN supplies scores of restaurants, cafes and speciality outlets through the UK and continental Europe with Vietnamese Coffee. All coffee beans are sourced through small coffee growers in the Central Highlands of Vietnam - specifically Dak Lak, and Lam Dong provinces. the coffee is roasted in Ho Chi Minh City ( Saigon ) imported and distributed direct by Ca Phe VN , to ensure the genuine Vietnamese style blend, roast and style of the coffee.  intense chocolatey nutty coffee ideal to drink hot or iced ; with condensed milk or black
